Today I'm In . . . . .

Today I'm in love swinging on a star,
remember, you could see me coming from afar;
are you just a civil partner, husband or wife,
have you really decided what to do with your life.

Today I'm in London, doing what lovers do,
a trip on the Thames, going up the Shard too;
what are your plans - don't tell me: 'go with the flow,'
not good enough, suddenly time was up - you were too slow.

Today I'm in a place in the sun with forest fires,
and 45c heat, of cynicism the human race never tires;
you guys in California - not quite heaven after all,
however, at Las Vegas on the machines, I'm having a ball.

I'll give you one day left with newspapers fluttering down the street,
get a move on, it may be the last person that you ever meet.
