Toe to toe

Toe to toe

Me, you and one other in the square ring,

All three of us waiting for the bell to ring.

Taking each other on, man to man,

Both in there with our own little plan.

One in the blue corner, one in the red,

Trying to jab and hook the others head.

The bell sounds at the end of round one,

It's crazy to think we do this for fun.

Trainers in our corners giving us advice,

Duck, bob and weave, make every punch precise.

The rounds fly by, as we throw and throw,

Punching each other going toe to toe.

It only takes one punch to win a fight,

For the loser it's as if someone has turned out the light.

The fight is over and we await the decision,

It comes down to the fighter with the better punch precision.

Black and blue we stand in the centre of the ring,

Only for the winner, will the crowd shout and sing.

The hand of the winner is held up high,

Whilst the loser tries not to break down and cry.
