‘’Token”

 ‘’Token”

                           ‘’Token”

So now that I, (by all rites), lay me down for keeps,

take the token, (from each eye), as I lie down deep.

“No” never, from the boat, for which you row,

for “not” to be seen, are the sights you show.

Paying the ferryman, (to Charon), for our sins,

a debt owed and “duly delivered,” by all mankind.

A journey, (of the most darker hour of life), surely meant, to be

Led, through deaths journey, blind.

So take my coins, old keeper of the bridge and allow me home,

my “submission,” is one un-fought.

Times’ grasp, (will it hold), the new life to unfold,

with these tokens, I ‘’assurantly’’ bought.

Ode to your name, (to this), a night reserved forward,

to the twilight hours, of deaths final redemption

Surely can’t I take back, mistakes made, (while off track),

So on ward I must succumb, to its suspension.

No matter the moons lunar indulgence, nor the persuasive,

Intrusiveness, of the suns blisterous, shine

The “prophetic ride,” promised from this boat,

Is to “never ever,” leave (any) behind...
