Poem -

~ tomorrow today ~.

~ tomorrow today ~.

I didn't get to eat today
always something in my way

I guess there is always tomorrow
If not to die hungry in sorrow

But who shall move mountains
Bring forth food to my earth

See me behind the obstacle's
Make my mouth a given worth

I am clean inside my soul
~ though camouflaged
by filthy reeds

Who shall make a sacrifice
plantation of plentiful seed's

I watch from this old doorway
The sun within my eyes

You didn't even notice me
Nor hear my vocal cries

I've seen many daylight's
~turn to black

People pass me by
non ever looking back

My stomach in knotted pain
This hunger cannot sustain

The weakened mentality
Of my hopeful brain

I didn't get to eat today
always something in my way

I guess there is always tomorrow
~If not to die today

Hunger and sorrow
Obstacles in my way.

There is nothing I hate more than wasting my time reading a poem, that completely disappoints me in the end.  Living me confused and lost a jungle of metaphors and hidden meanings.

Which is why I like reading Nardine's work.  Never has she taken me down that dead end alley, even once.
