This is the tower,
The tower of the captives.
There's really no escape from the walls that hold you captive.

Your a prisoner,
Captive by these walls
You're climbing but the stairs they never stop
They have no top.

"Never will I free you

You're only here
'Coz it pleases me to have you see."

For 3 score years I've climbed these stairs
The emptiness inside me.
The pleas I sent were very fair
Not good enough to touch the stairs
So now I bleed
Lie unaware
And faintly listen,
Listen to the stairs
