Transported through Music

This scrap of parchment

that holds such melody

discarded on the floor

no more to be played

sad, lonely unwanted

torn at the edges

notes that dance no more

a sad end to the tune

the stave, left unfinished

crotchets and quavers

they remain in limbo

never to be played again

this sad state of affair

this song will not be sung

trampled all over

as no one will ever know

how awesome if someone

were to find this dirty scrap

fall in love with its tune

and take up the cause

rework this lamented tune

complete the master piece

present it to the world

for all to listen once more.

from such humble beginnings

such beauty can be found

to fill the heart with peace

once the symphony is done

so sit back and enjoy

close your eyes and see

the places you`re transported

through the medium of music.
