Tribeless

Listening to the mothers heartbeat
9 months with her in warmth and safety
Then bright lights
Cold hands and a stark white crib
In a row of outsiders.
No family or tribe
No warmth or loving vibe
Echoes of unanswered cries
From abandoned babies
And the piss soaked cribs in which they lie.
Taken by some woman
Who wanted a child
Any child would do
But not You
Left outside in the cold, crying to the North Wind.
Outsider
Alien
Unbelonging
Tribeless One
Time flew
Your body grew
Your mind abused
And once you were older
Your body too
Outsider
Alien
Years have passed
Life gone in a flash
Searching for a tribe
A place to call home.
Tribeless
Alien
And at the close of days
As at the beginning
Motherless, fatherless,
Tribeless,
Alien.

The flow of this poem is smooth and beautiful. The repition really gave a rhythm to the poem. It brought me through a journey from start to finish ? Well done!
