Insecurities, impurities, endurance of circumstance; We live, we learn, we face the Truth, roots come loose, our lives? Reduced. Perception, deception, no recollection--Hangover headaches, memory gaps, time overlaps, sober: Relapse. Addiction, affliction--grave prediction; Open wide, swallow meds, illegal prescription, hollow head; Narcotic candy, Trick or Treat, fill my bag: It's Halloween! Wear a mask, hide my face, simple task, I engage; Masquerade, dancing clowns, pour up, drink, sip: drown. Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble; Gulp, discover, darkened plunder, swimming, floating: Going under; Ring the doorbell, dressed in black, Mystery Van, Scooby Snacks; Who's the phantom? Who's the ghoul? Who's the monster? Who's the fool? Who's the addict? Give me more! Trick or Treat! I'm at your door! Ecstasy affecting me, protects me from reality; Blue October, Purple Rain, never sober, can't abstain; Ghosts and goblins, Frankenstein, Zombies, Witches: It's costume time! All Hollow's Eve, my spirit rises, Pharmacy: Full of surprises! Elated senses, false pretenses, fabrication, no defenses. Silhouettes and cigarettes, herbs and potions, no regrets; Haunted Houses, mazes, traps--Death is coming! Don't look back! Grim Reaper's knocking, end is near; Candy Man, vivid fear. Chasing! Chasing! Here he comes! This Fright Night Fest has just begun. Corner! Cower! The beast devours! Head is pounding! He's surrounding! Jeepers Creepers! Spread his wings! Lacerations burn and sting! No more candy! I am sick ! Take my stash! Get rid of it! Withdrawals! Withdrawals! God it hurts! Free me! Free me! from this curse! Take my costume! Take my mask! Obliterate my candy bag! Trick or Treat! I smell defeat! Give me something good to ! Nourishment! Encouragement! A refund for the time I've spent! Nightmare, over! Wake up, scream! It's no longer Halloween...
