Triple Trouble

When we decided to get a Bijon puppy, our best friends got one too;
They named him little Ernie, and Nico we named you!
You came from different breeders, but your age was just the same;
We nicknamed you “Double Trouble”, for you loved your puppy games!
Â
We made sure you got to visit nearly every single day;
You’d go to each other’s houses to frolic and to play!
This went on for almost two years, then we thought “Why not make it three”?
So we bought you a little brother, whom we aptly named Cody!
Â
From the moment that you met him, you opened up your soul;
You gave to him your purest love, off your tongue the kisses rolled!
A few days later we went to Ernie’s, to introduce him to your friend;
Cody chased him for an hour, until poor Ernie’s breath was spent!
Â
I thought you would be jealous, but you shared him graciously;
The three of you played together, just as precious as could be!
So we renamed you, “Triple Trouble”, three wild and crazy guys;
As we watched the pandemonium, tears of joy would fill our eyes!
Â
So sadly you lost your dear friend Ernie, when he was only eight years old;
A bad tumor took him too early, the sad story we then you told!
And only six years later, we lost our dear Nico too;
What once was “Triple Trouble”, now Cody, there’s only you!

Dear Larry, Linda and Cody,
This is such a lovley poem, they have such an impact on our lives..
A little band of three,
Who loved to run and play.
Filled our hearts with glee,
Until two went away.
Now we have just one boy,
He needs our care and love.
bringing us, so much joy
His mates watch from above.
Love and hugs

My Dear Lorna,
Your beautiful poem has brought tears to my eyes. Â I am on my way to a Dr appointment, but by tomorrow, I will give your precious ode all the attention it is entitled to. Â I leave the house with wettened cheeks.
Hugs, Peace and Love,

My Dear Lorna,
.
She wrote an ode that brought me tears, so beautiful the words
About three doggies we used to have, our precious little herd
Two of them have left us now, the other still is here
His mates are watching over him, for they love him very dear
.
Thank you again Lorna, for your beautiful, tender poem.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
Sending big hugs your way xxx
