Trojan Heart

Trojan Heart

Capricious tis Trojan heart
Citadel secured to Cupid’s dart
Chastened by inured locks
Eros doggedly stalks

Pursue not this dark horse
It harbors sole remorse
Spurn yearning refrain
Infernal ardor lulls in vain.

Treacherous fool’s design
Formidable nemesis tis malign
Cast sentiment to the sea
Prest by fervent decree

Fortify rod-iron steel
Encased it cannot feel
Breach not tender part
Laud, this wooden heart
