True Love

True Love

There has been a time in my life
where everything was built on a lie.
I never got to experience true love.
I have always had men and women only get off.

My body...
Everybody...
Destroyed me.
Asphyxiated, forgetting to breathe.

I had a girlfriend,
who looked me in the eyes and made a promise in the end,
She promised,
that in her calmest,
that being in one,
"it is a beautiful thing to experience."
She really must have been inexperience.

Like hot coal,
she raped me from my body, mind and soul.
She left broken mirrors all over me,
bleeding.
Where did we go wrong?
I drove the extra miles for you all night long.

That moment she walked away from my life,
I felt I had died.

Months down the track,
There was a beautiful woman in the back,
She came up to me,
Smiled,
Placing her hand on my heart with a smile,
Whispering:
I have always loved you, Sweetie.
"I promise to never let anyone destroy you like that ever again.
I will miss you so much."
She kissed my forehead and with a hug,
- we drifted away into the sunlight,
with our children as our light,
and our house at the ranch,
...I truly did believe in true love again.
