Poem -

Truth and Wrath

I enter worlds unlike my own

Blackened shadow empires hoisted higher by the sentinels

Their undulating rope of snakes

To oversee the lower self

Te fleshbound prison quarters

While in this otherworldly realm

Of the many eyes, the many I's

Compounded, clustered now

Heads of horses tornĀ from necks

Spinal cords and spleens

Ethereal shimmers in the lakes of blood and spittle

Ascended to the pinnacles of such

Greywashed kingdoms where

I am unholy lord and emperor

Grandeur rejected, I walk and slide between the grandiose

The haunted

Hated

Scorned, berated

I grow into them

Out of themĀ

Like bamboo through the torso

Of a wretched man, tied down

I disperse into swarms andĀ

Coagulate into endless nightmare forms

Winged creatures fall from crags

Once clasped, they are no eagles

They are my many hands and dislocated maws

To engulf, ingest, devour

Your petty human thoughts about the truth.
