Tube Socks To Tiffany

Tube Socks To Tiffany

There’s an antique show down in Nashville, that my friend exhibits at;
It’s open Friday morn through Sunday, they roll out the welcome mats!
He says it is very eclectic, one never knows what they will find;
He labeled it “Tube Socks To Tiffany”, a quip so one of a kind!
.
For this author not only writes poetry, but deals in Fine Art too;
And I visit lots of antique venues, seeking inventory new!
I know of what he’s speaking, for as one peruses through each booth;
You might see a rare piece of Art Glass, or someone selling “Baby Ruth’s”!
.
That’s the thrill of being a dealer, we are always on the hunt;
Some days we are successful, some we drop back ten and punt!
But nothing compares with the exhilaration, of finding a treasure hid;
It always makes one happy, and all the melancholy rids!
.
.
                            Tube socks-Tiffany
                     Both will have you covered
                             In different ways

Hi Larry, I love vintage. I hope I'll find one in my attic LOL. I always watch antique road show on BBC, and oh my goodness !, you will be surprised when you get a thousand dollars of a piece you thought was a rubbish hidden in your attic.
I enjoyed reading your narrative poems. You're good at it.

Dear Leah,

Yes, you never know what treasure might be hidden in your attic.  We love the Antiques Roadshow too, and have been watching it for years.  Of course, our favorite segments are when someone brings in an old painting, and finds out that it is worth a lot of money.  By the way, speaking of art, one of Larry's favorite artists is the Philippine painter, Fernando Amorsolo.  He has had and sold a few of his lovely works.
Thanks for the great comment.  Nice to hear from you again.

All our love,
Linda and Larry xxx
