Tulips

Abloom color me a smile
Heart behests stay awhile
Spring awaken, balmy wisps
Borne ye genteel tulips
Raindrops on posy soft
Drones hover aloft
Pollinate gently fleet
Drunk on nectars sweet
Petals contrast bright
May multi-hues delight
Redbreast serenade
Atop budding glade
Steely clouds of gray
Peek thru solar array
Alight Sunkist effuse
Effulgent amidst blues

Lisa, my friend, you paint beautiful pictures always.Β
Love your writing.Β
Matthew.Β
Thank you Matthew, I'm longing for spring garden planting. Minnesota is a waiting game
I know what you mean, Lisa. I'm in NY, and we've had some snow flurries in the past few days. Ugh.Β
I hear it's just beautiful in NY in the spring. I hope someday to see it, but I am stuck steadfastly in my small little town.
I guess it can be for a brief period, but a lot of rain, and still cold.Β
Good luck with your planting, my friend.Β

?your poems are like a spell .. a magical chant that seams as I read a tulip will just appear in front of me .. beautifulΒ

Thank you so much Eddy! Spring is almost here, it isn't truly spring till the tulips say howdy! I've seen some daffodils but they aren't as pretty as tulips. it's very disheartening they stay for such a short time
Lol Iβm in Newfoundland and dandylines are good enough for me???tulips are a luxury..

So nicely written, Poetess. It has a calming effect. After the first two lines I read it slowly, just soaking it in. Beautiful.
