Twin hell-flame

Twin hell-flame

Our ties are so strong,
Pulled so taught
All sorts could go wrong
But we still fought.
Cages we built for ourselves,
Held eachother within its walls
Too hard for us to break,
But maybe just enough to make us fall.
Our bond was never to be broken
Though it was severed all the same,
By all our words unspoken,
And it was us who held the blades.
Tears collected in a river,
The waterfalls had run dry,
Golden fire melded the pieces,
Of our hearts that almost died.
Withered away to bone,
And skin,
Our souls were gone.
Lost in the wind.
We never found eachother again,
Or ourselves, fore it is true
That our hearts were never meant to be broken,
Least of all by me and you.
