Twinkling Lights

Sitting in his infant's chair

Staring up at twinkling lights

He takes a sharp deep breath in

Amazed and confused by these new sights

Before him stands a tree so tall

With colorful gifts below

Bedazzled with twinkling lights and ornaments

His little mind has been blown

What a privilege for me to see

New mom that I am

The wonder and magic brought to be

By my son's very first Christmas tree
