Don't look up
or do
You may just keep

as bombs fall

isn't far

The gods have mere
turned up the heat
to see if
they can roast you
 
Will you make it
through alive
or will you melt
like cheese

but lag behind
Eye on the sky and

When death takes you

How about if you

Should you drive
walk it out
or grab
that offered ride
 
Its nothing
personal
only a switchback
to some factory setting
 
It was never about
you per se
or are you
now forgetting
 
Keep your eyes open
and your ears
For luck may just
lengthen your years
 
Should a sniper
take you out or
drone hunt you down
Lay aside all fear
 
If you make it
to the home you know

a whole lot more
