Underestimated

for some it is a blindness a reason for their bliss
for other’s it’s their mindlessness to see it’s come to this
a mode of thinking to just get by
without the challenge of asking why
a means to justify their own ends
and believe in the their world of pretend

you said something I don’t like
so shun you into darkness I might
I’ll think it so you disappear
and underestimate you my dear

I won’t see your struggle true
because I don’t believe in you
then when I’m done it will be too late
my noble choice to underestimate

you see it’s just another road
this choice to condemn another ‘s load
an unreasonable choice to be too late
and the wrong one to underestimate
