Oh my precious Angel Cody, now five months since that fateful day;
When we had to end your suffering, and send you Heaven’s Way!
Your loss has near destroyed me, for I laid right by your side;
As the Doctor took your pain away, and peacefully you died!

I still remember the first time I saw you, surrounded by siblings six;
Who you chased around and terrorized, that way you got your kicks!
I said “He’s the one we have to have, for Alpha Nico, he’ll be a match”;
“They will run and play forever, the other try and catch”!

This photo shows the first day, that we brought you home with us;
Your Souls so quickly bonded, your hearts each other trust!
I loved you so very dearly, my little Cody, my dear Soulmate;
Each day you grew more beautiful, and my joy you’d ever sate!

Eleven plus years when we lost Nico, we were afraid we’d lose you too;
So we made sure to never leave your side, and somehow you pulled through!
Then you gave us over two years more, of your perfect puppy love;
But now I’ll cry forever, for you too, are with Nico up above!
