Unhooked

In August of nineteen sixty-one, I had just turned seventeen;
I still had my virginity, I still was squeaky clean!
But I was getting lots of pressure, from my buddies, who were not;
They went to see a hooker, who took care of them for a five-spot!
.
So, one night I nervously acceded, to go out there with a friend;
Not really wanting to do it, but trying peer pressure off to fend!
We knocked on her darkened front door, she answered in a silk negligee;
She was fat and unattractive, I just wanted to run away!
.
But I never would have lived it down, so into her house I went;
My buddy was the first batter up, I waited, with my nerves all spent!
Ten minutes later, he came back out, with a smile upon his face;
She told me to go in and take my clothes off, as my heart began to race!
.
When she returned, she uttered such language, that I thought I was going to die;
After some failed attempts to arouse me, I said “keep the money, let’s not try”!
But when we got back into my Plymouth, I told him how great that it had been;
No one ever found out about my secret, I never had to take it on the chin!
.
.
For only five bucks
Your young innocence could change
I held onto mine

Dear Edward,
Thank you very much. She sure was my Kryptonite. One look at her, and my power disappeared.

Hello Larry...
There's Leaders and Followers...
If she was beautiful and sexy you would've lost it...
Today, it's considered a crime to solicit sex...
Some people have to pay and some don't...
Shocker!
Fun write!
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...

Dear Sparrowsong,
You are absolutely right! Had she been a drop dead gorgeous long haired concubine, it would have happened.
But of course, that's not the way it played out.
Glad you liked it.
Love,

Dear Poet Brother LARRY!!....... not only did this put a smile on my face but it totally took me back in time...... and into old movies..... and into those 'good 'ol days' when everything was so much simpler and still filled with innate integrity and strong moral standards...... an excellent read that blooms because of it's VERY well crafted phrasing, timing, and imagery that soars!!.......PINNED!!......high fives brother!!...... Peace n Stuff!!........T xo ?✴❤
My Dear Brother Poet Tony,
When you said this put a smile on your face, and it took you back in time, I was thinking maybe my buddy Tony, had a similar experience. Even as a seventeen year old, I had a credo, "Love with your heart, and not your penis". So I saved myself until I fell in love. Thank you, as usual, for this beautiful comment, that also put a smile of happiness upon "my face".
Love you Brother,
Larry xxx
I loved it ,,my home town as well Plymouth, x
Dear Audrey,
I'm glad you enjoyed it. The Plymouth in the poem, was my car, not where I lived. Didn't the Pilgrims shove off from Plymouth?
Love,
Larry xxx
Yes they certainly did leave from Plymouth down on the Barbican ,the steps are still thereÂ
