United We Stand, Divided We Fall...

United We Stand, Divided We Fall...

The world suffers...
Eyes burn but die as hypocrisy
fills the bounds of what is pure
in us all as we fill a vain void.
Right and wrong become
trapped in a memory as we turn
with the gears and trade our
purity for false traces of life
and empty senses of love.
How can we feel okay to
betray our own instincts?
To unite or divide?
To tear the fabric of what bonded
our souls and sell the
remains for a futile existence.
We have become prisoners of our
own self destruction and slaves
to our own self justification...
Am I just to resist? Am I evil to
reject the sinful way? Or am
I a beacon of hope, begging,
extending my hand, searching
for hands reaching out in
the darkness to salvage the
potential we once had?
I roll to my own gears, I dance
to my own drum, and as long as
there is still a sip of life in me I
will never forget that my purpose
is for all of you. Even though I suffer
like the pulse of the collective, I
still hear the life beating through their chests.
And that is enough to never give up on
them... The world Suffers, but all we
need is each other...
