Curled in its rustic snake charming chain
laying beneath so many beds
creeping forth when the sweat stains the schemes
dreaming shadows gather in cloudless scars
features emit the last lost lovers' sight
eaten boards reformed in the bar and golden chords
Flesh blood-red in the crimson peeling rind
muscles bleached as the bones play cards
against the family of time
somewhere in the empty fields a violin
broken hanging by the single chained string
plays with its ghostly call
Another step kidnapped in silent torture
given unto the fainted ground
laughter was on the silent stones
no words causing a distraction
just the silence
vast in the starry night
universal and unplanned

listen there's the laughter
