Unknown

Droplets of blood fall to the ground
Satisfying the craving that I hold within
I stare at my reflection in those tear shaped drops
Until they deteriorate
Sinking into the cracks beneath the tile flooring
I drum my fingers on the edge of the tub
Rubbing against the smooth ceramic
The blade drops down to the floor
Bouncing
Creating that gratifying clink
The urge to reach for it overwhelms me
Passing back and forth
Filling up every empty space in my brain
I squeeze my eyes closed
Ridding my mind of the relentless voices
My thumb presses against the jagged edge
I feel myself reaching over
The metal sending shockwaves through my body
I skim the blade over my thigh
Caressing the skin
Causing goosebumps to form
It slowly digs deep and lines start to appear
Covering up old scars
I try and fight myself
Wincing in pain
I relax my fingers
Letting the blade sink
It swirls around the clear blue water
Overpowering it
With the darkest shade of crimson
I can feel my eyes moving from side to side
Rapidly
So I allow myself to sink down into the water
Letting it bubble around me
I can feel my breath starting to steady
As I let the blade slowly fall down the drain
