Unlock the Enslaved

Embrace What is Right

Roots of our people, beaten down with words and shamed
We eat the same, we drink the same, for we all get hungry, for we all get thirsty
Born barefoot, we walk, we talk, some learn, some can not
Different by culture, by our surroundings, how we survive
The fish in the sea, the cornmeal, rolled into bread
White, brown, black, yellow , red, these are names we give our skin
Love, hate, anger, pain, sorrow, these are names we feel them, some very different,Ā  some the same
Boundaries, boarders, shores, oceans, valleys, mountains, theseĀ  divideĀ  us from place
Poverty, wealth, rich, poor, separate our world
Enslaved in crime not committed, branded, wounds of our rights
Let justice, let hope, let the righteous be unlocked
Let us share our food from the farm to the table
Before we destroy all created, and we all starve in the end
Embrace our brothers and sisters, let us nourish our soulsĀ
, and feed upon love

Ā
