Untitled

There are too many loose ends
In this story
Light the smoke you
Snoffed this morning
Finish what you've started
And nothing changes
You used to have rats
Whom rattled their cages
All through June
Ashera died in your basement
Delilah in your room
You used a shovel to bury them
In a yard that is no longer yours
A mad man
Used a shovel to
Shatter your jaw
You spit out your teeth
From April until June
They tried to bury you
All death smells the same
Like dirt and decay
And earth
Stained red
Smiling in your absence
You learned to walk again
As soon as you woke up
The world was new and you took
A look
Beneath the skirt
Of a girl who was leaving
Oh it's all the same
In the end
Light a smoke you've been yearning
Sleep your sleep util morning
When the dawn comes burning
In your window
And the toilet has earned
Your piss
Again
