Utopia

Do my eyes deceive me, this image I see
A fantasy perhaps, or am I dreaming
Wonderment envelopes my inner most thoughts
Tears down my cheeks are streaming

If only true, a land of pure enchantment
Where peace and harmony exists
Forgive me, my active mind is overflowing
Hallucinating, aimlessly adrift

Images persist of a world where peace exists
Where love and happiness prevail
A stargazer, a dreamer, always been my vision
Absolutely nothing my vision derails

All that said thoughts of utopia are forever with me
Most likely won't come to fruition
But the dreamer in me keeps hoping for miracles
Till eventually it's not just an apparition
