VALENTINES TEARS

VALENTINES TEARS

What is love to a broken heart

When the one you desire is gone

Erase Valentine's Day from my calendar

And just maybe my heart will live on

I look at a dozen roses

And see a bouquet of thorns

The taste of candy makes me gag

Please don't remind me of the sweetness of love

For to me, love is the picture of death

Let me vent, my heart overflows

I am burdened bewildered and sad

If only sleep would of subdued my mind

Then this Valentine's Day

Would of never made me mad.
