Vegas

Vegas

I'd love to go to Vegas,
feel the heat coming off the sand
and shake hands with some long forgotten heavyweight boxing champion ,
who is now the greeters at the casino,
I want to see the laser eye of the sphinx ,
apparently it can be seen in space,
miles up in the earth amongst the stars .
as for the stars I could watch some rock band
like def leppard or guns n roses;
in residence at the hard rock joint,
playing for only the privileged few.
I could look at a holographic Elvis shake his hips,
mingle with people hoping to win a fortune ,
it would be great,
massive hotels and water fountains dancing to rave music ,
I'd love to go to Vegas ,
but not Las Vegas ,
the Vegas Arcade at Barry Island,
where a wide eyed six-year olds dreams come true.
