VICTIMLESS CRIME

I confessed my love, but she insists it's over
I pray God, I'd give anything just to hold her
Ask her for the time, but she don't got it
I invested in our love, ain't seeing the profit
I get up every day, I fight the good fight
The world keeps spinning, devil keeps grinning, no matter if it's right
My broken heart, no victimless crime
Tempt me in your garden, I'll eat the apple every time
You're on trial for love, the judgment comes in guilty
A women screams with her condolence
But I don't need her pity
You confess untrue, I insist we go on
Your bullets in the chamber, guns drawn
You ask for a rhyme, I become your poet
I never wanted to steal your love, just hold it
You awake every day, he's on your mind
The world keeps spinning, your god keeps grinning
You've crossed the line
There's a baby dying, a grow man crying
A life with a lifeless plague, this is our lives
A crowed waiting to be aroused, a dead man on stage
A modern love, just thriving to get old
Your lover in his arms, the man she now holds
My broken heart, a victimless crime
Tempt me in your garden, I'll eat the apple every time
You're on trial for love, the judgment comes in guilty
A woman screams with her condolence
But I don't need her pity

You got this down as song lyrics, in many ways song lyrics are far more forgiving than poetry, you can get away with the clichés far easier in song
that said unless actually heard by the artist or at least knowing the genre, it's very difficult to give real feedback on lyrics
soz I can't be more helpful
:)
how does it make you feel, when you read it?
