My dear, your have been lied to,

Mistreated, misused, and wronged,

Yet I can see it in your eyes

That you've come back more than simply strong.

Oh, you've been raised up toward heaven,

Then abruptly thrust away toward hell.

Burning tears rolled down your cheeks,

Your lungs were tightened as you fell.

But somehow, amidst the falling,

You found a certain freedom in the air,

In the way gravity beckoned you back home,

While the wind played wildly in your hair.

You became better, sturdier,

A truer form of you,

Because instead of being afraid to fall,

You chose to enjoy the view.
