VISION FROM HELL

The explosion happened in seconds

And among the screams that fell like rain

For everyone who heard the news that day

Life would never be the same again

Out of destruction, the horror, and carnage

Came a vision of hell here on earth

With the dead the dying and wounded

Came the vision of pure evil at birth

From the rubble came God’s tiny children

Torn beyond life, beyond our repair

Through the smoke and the flames came the heroes

To battle a fight so cruel and unfair

Among the ruins, disaster, confusion and chaos

We find any little hope slipping fast

Through our helplessness and our anger

We still look for a tiny thread to grasp

Dear God Why, where are the answers

To all these questions, we ask as we wait

How do we bear this heart-wrenching sadness?

When we hold in our heart’s so much hate

This insane destruction is all we can see

And while we pray that more are alive

Dear God tell us what do we do now?

To mend the ones that will have to survive

We are left with a memory of so many losses

We watched as the innocent fell

Now we are left with blood on our sidewalks

And memories that leave us a vision from hell…

In memory of the thousands of lives lost to a senseless tragedy that should never have been…  This was published by the International Society of Poet's in 2012, and I went to Washington to accept a Poet of Merit award as well as a medallion...

I am blessed to have this ability to see and gain a different perspective than that which we are faced with daily.     

God helps me try and make sense of these issues we face in our beautiful world.. Some things will never make sense....  May God have mercy on their souls.....

Angels, may we all come together for peace......for it is only in that...can changes begin...
