Voice

Why are our voices silent.
To war to war was the shout.
Angered and violent.
The British lashed out.

Battles won and lost.
For freedom has its price.
We all know the cost.
Some give the ultimate sacrifice.

Land of the free home of the brave.
The constitution to witch we stand.
For a better life they gave.
For freedom of family and land.

Centuries pass and two wars are fought.
It is everyone who has the right to be free.
I have a dream. Was not just a thought.
That man died so we all could see.

Segregated and hated why.
No matter the sex color or creed.
Free at last free at last was the cry.
For humanities deed.

Decades latter the wars begin.
Money and power to gain.
For amendments and politics within.
Constitutional rights challenged in vein.

Our own government to blame.
As we cry out freedom of speech.
Elected officials bow their head in shame.
And the right to bear arms now at reach.

These two amendments will keep us free.
Let your voices lift and shout.
The constitution is fine let it be.
Money isn't what we are about.

Why are our voices silent.
Open your eyes and see.
The world has gone violent.
No longer are we free.

A marine vet can not fly.
Both the American and Marine corps flag.
The whole of the nation should cry.
Because of the governed stag.

Will you chose to voice your voice.
To stand tall in freedoms name.
Or let it be another's choice.
And play to their game.

My voice.
My choice.
My sights.
My rights.
