Voyeur (Spanish Sonnet)

Late afternoon lulls into the evening...
You lay naked, arms under your pillow.
The curtains tease and airily billow
Over you slowly, the sight enticing
Me to watch as you sigh then moan turning
To reach for me and re-enter that mellow
Dream which has aroused you - my eyes follow
The swell to its determined hard ending.
I swing my leg over your hip to sheath
Heat inside warm, yielding, moist desire.
In control, I rise and fall -- you underneath.
We're both dreaming; you are my empire,
My possession, my life's personal path;
While I watch, your eyes set me afire!

Thanks so much Susan for your comment...glad you enjoyed this poem. I write in different poetry forms, the sonnet forms being one of my favorites. The spanish form follows the italian form which is an italian octave with a sicilian sestet. val
whoa how knowledgeable you are only sonnet for I know is 10, 14 and I'm couldn't tell you what that is lol I look forward to reading more cheers x
Well, you've just stated the general form for a sonnet 10, 14, however to break it down its 14 lines in iambic pentameter, i.e., 10 syllables. It generally called the Shakespearean Sonnet. So you see, your knowledge is correct. I post a different sonnet form later.
Thanks so much Chris for your comments! I do enjoy writing sonnets, always trying to improve. I really appreciate your encouragement.
Whatever form??? You have a natural way of simply turning people on with the power of the word!
Thanks Peter…then I am doing it correctly!
