Waiting

I wait 
for someone to care 
for those who say they love me 
to show me out of the darkness

I stand on the shore of sadness and grief
faceless 
among all the sand and waves of despair
unconcerned by the waves 
i drown swimming downward 
ever questioning 
when was i truly the idiot
when i believed someone cared 
or when i swam down
