Waiting To Hear From You

This morning I thought of you and there's something I must tell you.

I think it is something of importance than something of inconvenience.

This morning I thought I would write you and tell you that I love you;
And that is hard not to hear anything from you.

I realize that I haven't heard from you in quite a while,
But I know that you're always too busy to pick up the phone and dial.

I wanted to write you this poem to tell you that I love you;
And that I have thought of you;
And so you know that I fell for you a long time ago,
Before I went my separate way,
years ago.

And I hope that you feel the same way, too.

Because I never gave up on you,
and I hope to hear from you soon.
