Walk Through The Shadows

I walk through the shadows of trees

Hearing the birds singing,

Listening to the leaves rustling

Picking those petals from anywhere,

Watching the distress on her face

as the waterproof MASCARA RUNS

there in a incomplete decision

Casting a glimpse of a shadow,

In the silence of moonlight.

A message of death is delivered,

Was this a warning meant for me?

Calling out from the darkened land

An angel came to hold my hand.

My soul was being protected

In the shadow of a distant land.
