Wall

A wall of pain, a wall of suffering,
a reality I created for me to grow tough in.
A wall that hid the real me,
if I couldn't see it why should you see.
Now I've found my deeper meaning,
whoever I see I shall be revealing.
That wall has come crashing down,
brick by brick it has fell.
For decades I layed brick by brick,
and covered it with concrete 10 ft thick.
It kept me comfy and it kept me safe,
it protected me from my real face.
Protected my essence till I was fighting fit,
till I was stronger enough to face all my shit.
If only I'd known it was my own creation,
Keeping me safe till I was able.
Able to pull other peoples down,
and turn their frown upside down.
I'm no different from anyone else,
Cause that wall has a name and it's called hell.
