War

War

A bad idea is the birth of a great plan
Sometimes it's the least likely man
That fights the hardest and makes a stand
Wars are fought deep in the trenchesĀ
Not by the politicians at home warming benches
Giving their orders, being pretentiousĀ
Real warriors are blinded by the blood in their eyes
Not fallin for the subtle lies
Facing the enemy til they die
You can't be brave, if you're not afraid
You won't get burnt by the sun while you're laying in the shade
You don't fight like you're starving when you know you're getting paid
It's all really as plain as the nose on my face
You won't feel the sting if you don't know the taste
And barking orders has its time and space
But if you want my respect, pick up your weapon and earn it
Fight and die by my side, my loyalty you earn it
When the banner is raised, don't f$&@ing burn it
