Wars

Wars

In the first world war,
the bodies piled up forevermore,
the death in the mud trench;
made a sickening stench.
Vietnam,
just a military strike by uncle Sam,
they wanted to stop the communist,
people they thought to be evil on the blacklist.
the war in Iraq,
was supposed to give the people their country back,
saddam the bad man;
soon he was to hang.
in Afghanistan,
soldiers were fighting the Taliban,
a group of men led by bin Laden,
hiding in poppy fields used to make heroin.
as for Syria,
there was no need for a chemical attack; that is quite clear,
surely asad;
has taken all the punishment he's had,
the ordinary people know the score,
sometimes there is just no avoiding war.
