WE ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HERE AND TO BE ACCEPTED

A poem about Transactional Analysis

WE ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HERE AND TO BE ACCEPTED

Like a child, I find my boss makes me nervous
And I replay thoughts of childhood in my mind.
I'd like to feel more confident and grown up
Whilst still wanting others to be kind.

I know I can change:
I try quite hard to please.
Nothing wrong with that, per se
But I'd like to seize

A more adult state of feeling
With the people whom I'm dealing.
Act like my parents to some extent
And a child to a lesser extent

But being like an adult
Using the best of both states.
We are all human.
We all make mistakes

But we all have a right to be here.

We can all change.
