"We were lost!
we didn't know the cost,
of abandoning ourselves and God,
and now we have such haunting stories to tell,
about how many different ways,
we almost went to Hell.

We now know what's right!
we know what we have to face and fight every night!
Our old selves,
who want us to go to Hell everyday,
but we now have a way,
to fill the hole,
from what the devil stole,
trailing us along,
with his sweet and sour, crude, baffling song.

We have to fill it with God,
up to the very brim,
and be ready because you're going to have to swim!
through the tragic depths,
of your own dismay and decay,
so hold tight,
this very night,
and be ready to drop down to your knees and pray,
because I know deep down,
you want God to stay!"
