We Don't Do What We Used To . . . . . .

We went to Bali and extinct volcanoes, anything goes,
grinned at each other in Bermuda when we dipped our toes,
sometimes you wonder if these things really did happen,
yes they did, like the other day when we met Max Verstappen.
Just imagine his life, avoiding death at 200 miles per hour,
it's nothing, when you're young and you have the power;
the goalposts moved - sun tans not needed out of town,
maybe it was a joke anyway because you were born brown.
We can fool ourselves, we do look many years younger,
but as time moves on, about those events you wonder;
'Give me the keys to your Ferrari old man, you don't need it,'
all those former things start to be eroded, just bit by bit.
There's no sea in heaven, not even a nice racing track,
but hopefully, love will provide for everything we lack.
