Wearing Just Socks
I know a young lady, her name is Kim
Whenever I see her, she makes my heart grin
They call her a doctor, but to me she's a friend
Whatever my ailment she knows how to mend
With every new visit, my symptoms take flight
She knows how to soothe me, to remedy my plight
After all these decades, finally found a new doc
Who makes me feel comfortable wearing just socks
I'll gladly recommend her to everyone I know
My resistance to doctors I sure did outgrow
So next time I'm fevered or feeling some pain
Even though quite minor like a bump or a sprain
I'll make an appointment and really toute suite
Visiting Doctor Kimberly is surely a treat
She'll fix me up quickly, she'll fix me up fine
Three cheers for Kimberly, this new doctor of mine

Both my oncologist and radiologist are women. Not only are they competent Doctors, they're wonderful people. And at the risk of sounding chauvinist, they both happen to be beautiful women. In my youth women Doctors were few and far between. And they tended to be eccentric ladies with unibrows and unshaven legs. Not anymore. Women have truly broken down barriers in medicine.
What a wonderful tribute to their accomplishment. I would suggest you make certain Dr. Kim reads your poem. She may give you a discount on your next appointment.

A brilliant piece my handsome Jack. Print it off and frame it for her and give it to her as a going away present. When ever she feels down or rushed off her feet, she can look at it in her office and you will be able to make her smile again when ever she needs cheering up sweetie, and that ability is priceless.
I wrote one for my doctor for his birthday and he surprised me by framing it and putting it on his wall, which made my day too. He`s been looking after my family for over thirty years now, but he`s about to retire which is breaking my heart, knowing that he won`t be there for us anymore!!!!
