Weather

I guess I'm a bit like the weather
Sometimes I'll bring you a storm
The rain will hammer around you
As the dark clouds begin to form
The drops with reach your bones
You will feel the damp take hold
I will coat you in my tears
As I embrace you with the cold

I express a bit like the weather
Sometimes I will howl and rage
Forcefully blowing angry winds
That uproot, taking you hostage
The drums will thrash violently
You will feel the thunder smash
I will make you shake with fear
As in through your walls I'll crash

I change a bit like the weather
Sometimes I make everything freeze
Cold snaps that eventually thaw
Wrapping you up in a wistful breeze
The sun gently warming your skin
You will feel it bring sweet relief
I will make you feel the sunrays
As I light you up into my belief

I feel a bit like the weather
Sometimes I'll lift the grey skies
I will paint on a rainbow so you
Forget you just witnessed my cries

The fish of the sea

I can relate Shelley! Oh, I enjoyed this one, mines related to anxiety, I bored when I have a free-schedule but I`m stressed when I`m busy! I think my poetry also reflects how I feel... I love the structure and your weather anaolgy. It suits very well!ย

This is so good Shelley, I totally related to this and those last two lines wow

I will paint on a rainbow so you
Forget you just witnessed my cries

thatโ€™s so true. We feel people are uncomfortable with seeing our tears. So we put on a face to help them feel better. Really brilliant how you worded this ๐Ÿ’›โ˜€๏ธ

Wow Shelley, so.much in this about the human nature. We are tornadoes I think ...most of us, neither one thing or another just a million possibilities, a million realities. Some I believe feel.deeper than others though...some people have the depth of puddles. They normally do really well in life while the rest of us are busy struggling with our own unbrellas ...lol. great write...pinned ๐Ÿ’•
