Poem -

the wedding ring

 the wedding ring

You have a face that reminds of someone I used to know

But this was in a place that was far away many years ago

She smiled the same way as you do and was very pretty to

I once asked her to marry me but I never heard her say ‘I do”

One day she moved away and I’ve not really seen her since

But if you happen to see a girl that bares your resemblance

Please tell her that the offer still stands in spite of everything

Tell her that I still carry around in my pocket the wedding ring

Hey C, I have to agree with Miss Sumner here.......what really made me hit the 5* button was the inclusion of the photo.....it took the poem into another place......creative (as usual) ......but this was a little more than just a poem............great, creative, write...............well done sir,     .....tony    xx

Curtis Longstreet,

Good write, My applause, My vote

Please tell her that the offer still stands in spite of everything

Tell her that I still carry around in my pocket the wedding ring
