Wes

Wes

I'm the king of hotel lovers
I speak the words of truth
We leave one another
and do the things we do.
I just stopped believing in love,
But so did you-
my burning hands and shining lips
forge a kingdomΒ in a crummy room-

The night was like doom
I'll repeat the LP-
But you won't get nothing new
At least not from me-
I'd like to see you again
But I can't
cos this predicamentΒ we're in-
Was over before it began

I'd still feel lonely
Even with you with me
so I tell myself the kiss was phony.
but it's not you, it's true-
so don't let me leave you feeling blue-
I don't trust nobody
past the lobby
and after that, we're through.
