West Bay Clams

I was going to call this ‘Silence of the Clams’ But then remembered just how much I detest plagiarism

West Bay Clams

How I wish upon these ultra violet hues and those iridescent blues hiding in the spray and spew of our West Bay cove that you were here today my love…

I do, I do, I do…

Clams though alas are seriously shy sea creatures and rarely initiate conversation seeming to prefer silence and solitude to any form of social interaction whatsoever…

I truly understand that too my love…

I do, I do I do…

Neville looks like Marion beat me to the punch with the word haunting and her use of wistful just rubs it in.
Just to add it has that otherworldly ethereal echoing quality to it and a superb write.
Thanks for sharing and there are few ways to interpret your poem could even be one of loss and longing.
