What A Warrior Needs

What A Warrior Needs

A warrior’s path of ice and rage
The sage sings to flowers as he ponders
This old spear I carry still teaches me
Hunting a man that stands for peace
Killing him softly so his kids don’t see.

Bulls run through the valleys of my empty skull
Chasing dreams that are no more
You tried to send a priestess to heal me
I said goodbye and drank your witch’s tea
This warriors hunt may never end.

Walking with a rich man’s high I traveled the earth in search of my birth
I was a baby in disguise
Wanting to return with a bounty of love
For a mother that sees
A warrior in need.
