What am I?

What am I?

I am a colorless moth that leads you to the light
I am the voice in your head that tells you wrong from right
I am the rumble in your stomach when you see the broke and starving
I am the wall you hit when thinking of self harming
I am the regret you feel when you took what wasn't yours
I am the Pitt you fell in when you did not finish your chores
I am the ache in your heart when you know you left her sobbing
I am your reality check when you think your cleverly plottingĀ
I'm the sorrow you feel for not visiting your grandma before she passed
I'm the reason you strive to be better than your past
I am the signal flare that warns you when your being stupidĀ
And if you do not heed my call it will lead you to your ruin
