Poem -
WHAT DO YOU SEE?
What do you see when you look into my old eyes?
Do you just see my crows feet?
Or the warmth in my smile?
Do you see the strength in me?
Or just my weepy tears?
Do you see my devotion?
Or just plain old age and fear?
Do you see the love I have for all my family?
Or do you see how much I suffer with my old arthritic knees?
Do you see how much I protect those that I hold dear?
Or do you just see weakness
Because you always get so annoyed with my deaf old ears?
Do you see the love that I have beyond all measure?
Or do you just see a drain on the possessions that you treasure?
